In this Thangka, Earth Store Bodhisattva sits on a pedestal with ease and grandeur. The headdress naturally falls on his shoulders. His right-hand holds a Cintamani jewel, which represents the Bodhisattva’s pure wisdom. He wears a dharma robe with brown and royal green borders. The robe is adorned with various exquisite patterns, the lines are smooth and delicate, and the portrayal is detailed and exquisite.

This thangka, The Life of Sakyamuni Buddha, also known as The Origin of Sakyamuni Buddha, depicts the 12 major deeds of Buddha’s life. Created in the 18th century during the Qing dynasty, this thangka has been passed down for more than 300 years.
